17 TGD? Would that be a base spec 1.7 liter diesel? We never got that engine here.

Small diesel yes, but I think there were spec levels lower than that - 17RD or something.

would be the 1.7 XUD7 motor for sure, but I’m not well versed in Citroën trim levels enough to know if this is the 60hp atmospheric, or the 90hp turbo version....

Despite being a former BX diesel owner (this year even!), I don’t recall ever seeing the 17 badge. We got the 19 TGD/TZD/whatever as the NA 1.9L 70 hp diesel, and the TZD(/whatever) Turbo, as the turbodiesel.
